River Walk

Hit the River Walk and wade into the cool, refreshing waters of the New River, flowing right through Mystery Hill!
A young boy stands in tall grass by a stream, smiling and holding a fishing rod with a large fish dangling from the line. Lush greenery and wildflowers surround him.

River Walk

Enjoy the beautiful Middle Fork Greenway Trail, located adjacent to Mystery Hill, and running beside the middle fork of the New River. The Middle Fork Greenway Trail will soon connect Boone and Blowing Rock via a paved biking and walking trail. And along the trail, visit Sterling Green Park, where there are picnic tables and river access.

In addition, the headwaters of the middle fork of the New River start just a few miles up the road from Mystery Hill, and its waters run right through our property. At over 320 miles long and over 360 million years old, this river is stocked with native brown and rainbow trout. Fishing (nc permit required), wading, and tubing are all allowed.
